Brad Junk-GibsonManaging Director

Following a career of 30 years in the Australian Army Signal Corps, Brad retired from full time service to take up a consulting role within Defence. Brad’s initial engagement as a consultant was as the Sys Engr and Project Manager for JP9347 (TDLs) where he was awarded a IWD JCG Commendation as the Program Manager for the Joint TDL Program. He was subsequently promoted to the General Manager for Consulting with Omni Executive and after building a sustainable and successful business unit, returned to Defence as the PM for JP9102 Future SATCOM pre-Gate 2 approval. During this time, Brad was approached and subsequently accepted the role of General Manager of Crown Management Consultants and was appointed the Managing Director in January 2022. Brad is focussed on building a trusted and values-based company for delivery of above and below the line services with an exemplary industry capability.

Brad is married to Jodie with two sons, Lachlan, and Bryce. He enjoys the occasional hit of a golf ball, catching up with family and friends and planning his next holiday.

Ben WitteveenGeneral Manager

Ben began his career working in Government finance for Department of Health, Ageing, and then Customs. He then moved to Defence where he spent six years working in cost modelling contributing to some of Defence’s largest and most complex acquisitions, later transitioning into preparing Cabinet Submissions.

Ben then moved to the Bureau of Resource and Energy Economics as an economist, studying the resources sector and the economies of Australia’s major trading partners. He then moved to Home Affairs where he used his experience in Defence to help establish a capability development process.

Later, he joined Downer Professional Services (then Agis) as a consultant where he led the Navy PMO and guided some of Navy’s largest and most complex projects through the new Capability Life Cycle process, including Government submissions. Ben then transitioned to the Army’s deployed communication projects and finally the Future SATCOM project. Afterward, worked as a Director within Downer, leading the Maritime, Joint, Estate, DIG, AGD, International and Strategic Policy accounts.

Ben joined Crown in late 2022 and has been enjoying the change, including working with our great people and the amazing contributions to Australian Defence and other government organisations.

Jacqui FosterDirector

Jacqui Foster has 10+ years of military experience as an Administration Clerk. After leaving the military in 2020, she was fortunate to land a role working at the Australian Defence College (ADC) within the Defence Registration Training Organisation (DRTO), assisting separating personnel gain Recognition of Prior Learning for skills learnt while undertaking military service and transferring those skills into a Nationally Recognised Certificates or Diplomas. While at ADC Jacqui also held the position of Secretariat for several advisory boards within the Defence Education, Learning and Training Authority, where she was integral to the smooth running of all board meetings.

Jacqui commenced working for Crown Management in 2021 as the Operations Assistant and since then has been afforded the opportunity to take on the role of Human Resources (HR) Manager for the Company. She is currently studying a Diploma of Human Resources Management to confirm her knowledge and expand her professional development within the space.

In her spare time, Jacqui, husband, and two small children can be found holidaying in their caravan, exploring the great outdoors, and connecting with friends and family alike

Melinda TurnerFinance Manager

Mel has been in the accounting, finance, and administration field for most of her working life. For nearly 20 years, she ran her own bookkeeping business on the Sunshine Coast. In September 2020, Crown Management became one of her clients, up until July 2021 where she joined Crown Management as a part-time employee. In July 2022, she transitioned to full-time.

Mel loves cooking and feeding people and likes to crochet in her spare time. She likes dogs more than she likes most people and has a 14-month-old cattle dog that she enjoys agility and trick training with.

Mark McGavinTechnical Services Manager

Following a career of 20 years in the Australian Army Signals, Mark commenced his transition to take up a role with Crown Management in 2022. Mark’s previous experience had its foundation in System Administration for deployable ICT, before moving into supervisory and management roles. He has worked in a variety of Army and Joint establishments; the highlight being employed as a Career Manager for two technical trades in 2021. Mark completed his Master of Cyber Security (Operations) in 2018, and since then has undertaken a variety of industry certifications, under ISC², GIAC and CompTIA.

Mark is married to Sarah with two children, Joshua, and Ella. He enjoys his Parkrun on a Saturday morning, and the coffee afterwards. After hours he likes to tinker with his home network, read a little and tend to his beehives in the back yard.

James HollidayIT Administrator

James is a systems administrator with experience in Defence ICT systems. He has worked at the Land Network Integration Centre (LNIC) as a system administrator building the LNIC Data Centre, MPE nodes and Battle Lab infrastructure.

Years later, James rejoined Crown Management Consultants as the System Administrator, during that time he was also a part of IBMS Delivery team.
